CodeLogs
from CeBeans
"Vincent Collura of www.cebeans.com has recently created a tiny
though elegant program that should prove useful for physicians routinely
caring for patients in cardiac arrest. CodeLogs(r) is freeware. It allows
the physician to enter, from a drop down menu, the usual medications and
interventions done during cardiac arrest. Each item ends up in a document
with a time stamp. At the end of the code, it is easy to reconstruct the
sequence of events and interventions, precisely timed. It includes an
automatic timer for both epi and atropine, so that these meds can be given,
if indicated, at 3 to 5 minute intervals. At our facility, there is usually
one nurse acting as "scribe" during the code, and I think this could be
an incredible timesaver."
